(August 18, 2014) Billboard magazine today released information on the impending release of long vaulted music of Isaac Hayes, the legendary singer and songwriter who died in 2008. The vaulted music reportedly includes music from Hayes' entire career, including his very prolific work of the early 1970s. It also includes collaborations with artists ranging from Donald Byrd to Major Harris.

The project may lead to modern day producers reworking demos for reissue, similar to the work on Michael Jackson's recent Xscape album. Below is the video from Isaac Hayes III, son of the late entertainer and President of Isaac Hayes Enterprises, explaining the project.
