It is our extreme pleasure to announce the commencement of The Jazzy Soul Collective 2009 Tour. The initial core artists on this year's Jazzy Soul Collective tour are BETJ Award winner Eric Roberson, 2009 Grammy nominee Anthony David and omnipotent singer, producer Angela Johnson. The initial leg of the tour will begin on April 22 at B.B. Kings nightclub in New York City.
The Jazzy Soul Collective was started in 2008 as a vehicle to showcase high quality, highly talented, emerging so-called "underground" nu soul/nu jazz artists in venues that are more a part of the mainstream touring circuit. The artists chosen as the core for the initial leg for this year's run have been described as "three of the leading lights of the Nu Soul Movement". Jazzy Soul Collective producer Kevin Harewood says, "Eric Roberson, Anthony David and Angela Johnson are exceedingly energetic soulful performers who insure that this year's show will be every bit as enjoyable and surpass last year's inaugural run. We feel everyone who comes out will have a memorable and positive evening."
