(Detroit, Michigan – January 29, 2018) Some of the biggest names in music have been nominated for the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Class of 2018. The ten (10) artists with the most votes will be selected to join the Class of 2018. Winners will be announced on February 1, the beginning of Black History Month, at the Charles H. Wright Museum. The ceremony will take place on June 3rd, during Black Music Month, at the Charles H. Wrights in Detroit, Michigan, and will be nationally televised.

Motown Records, Patti LaBelle, The Chi-Lites, Mary J. Blige, Nat King Cole, Berry Gordy, Little Anthony & The Imperials and Sam & Dave are among the impressive list of nominees. Some of the past inductees, such as Motown legend Martha Reeves of the Vandellas, and this year nominees and their family members, plan to attend the announcement on February 1. The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will be receiving the 2018 Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Music Icon Award with a musical tribute planned in her honor.
The host for this year ceremony will be Motown legend and former member of The Supremes, Mary Wilson.

Tickets will go on sale for the 2018 6th Annual Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Eventbright and at the Charles H. Wright Museum, on February 9, 2018. Also planned for the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Weekend is the 6th Annual Per-Induction Ceremony Celebrity All-White Party at Bert’s Entertainment Complex, June 2, and the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame VIP Induction Ceremony After-Party will take place also at Bert's Entertainment Complex.
