LEGENDARY PRODUCER/TV PERSONALITY RANDY JACKSON LAUNCHES NEW DANCE LABEL AND ANNOUNCES FIRST ARTIST - KIMBERLEY LOCKE

kimberley lockeNew York, NY- (May 3, 2010) - Music guru RANDY JACKSON has announced the launch of his new dance label, DreamMerchant21, and is thrilled to announce the signing of his first artist to the label, Season 2 American Idol® superstar KIMBERLEY LOCKE.  With DreamMerchant21 underway, Jackson has plans to serve all facets of the dance community as he sees the genre of dance at the forefront of today's music trends.  Locke's April 6th, 2010 release, "STROBELIGHT", is the first of many hit dance songs to come out of the new label.  He explains, "I feel compelled with the music that I am hearing in 2010 to start this kind of label.  I want to make a difference within this genre and bring good energy and great music to all!"

In the past few years, Nashville native Kimberley Locke, has had eight Top 20 Adult Contemporary hits, three #1 Dance hits, and eight #1's across various Billboard charts.  She also had three #1 Christmas singles which led to a holiday tour with Dave Koz, whom she dueted with on the classic, "Please Come Home for Christmas."  Locke gained fame with her participation in the 2003 American Idol® television series in the hit show's second season.  In 2007, she garnered media attention for her participation in VH1's Celebrity Fit Club.

Locke's club banger and megahit, Strobelight, was produced by celebrated DJs and music producers Tony Moran and Warren Rigg. Moran proudly exclaims about the star- "We are proud to know that such a gifted artist whose star is rising higher can share that star with us on the dance floor!" He continues, "There is no better way to get intimate with an artist than to hear that artist bare, without music for a moment to carry her message through melody, soul, and effort." Admiring Locke's talent and intimacy in her own music, Moran was able to naturally create an anthem that was "already a great song" with impeccable production.
