April 22, 2017 -- Like the Beatles, we at SoulTracks sometimes get by with a little help from our friends.  And one of my friends is George Littlejohn, Co-CEO of Purpose Music, who noticed that the SoulTracks writers have decidedly different, albeit overlapping, tastes in soul music. George therefore challenged me to curate a Spotify playlist limited to 20 tracks that would best  reflect my tastes and areas of interest for the benefit of SoulTrackers.

So with a tip of the hat to George, I submit for your ears my New Soul Generation playlist. When writing  First Listen features for SoulTracks, I often highlight new artists, and this playlist is largely a collection of tracks that -- to my ear – are the best from the new soul/R&B artists that have emerged in recent years.  Enjoy.
