Chaka, Mary J., Dionne and Tina get Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominations

    (February 10, 2021) The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame today announced its 2021 nominees, and it includes many R&B favorites. It is certainly the most diverse group of nominees by race and gender in the history of the Hall.

    Among the nominees who will be on the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot are legendary songstress Chaka Khan (her 7th nomination), R&B star Mary J. Blige (her first), Tina Turner and pop/soul diva Dionne Warwick (her first). On the hip-hop side of things, new nominees include LL Cool J and Jay-Z.

    Also nominated are Kate Bush, Devo, the Foo Fighters, The Go-Go's, Iron Maiden, Carole King, Fela Kuti, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, and Todd Rundgren.
