TV One R&B Divas costar Syleena Johnson is searching for the next big acoustic artist as the opening act at one of her shows in her Acoustic Soul Search competition. With the release of her upcoming digital mini-album, Acoustic Soul Sessions on September 25th, Syleena Johnson looks to reignite a music movement that brings back live and original instrumentation. She wants aspiring musicians and fans to join the movement.Here are the rules: Musicians participating in Acoustic Soul Search must submit a video of all original music and all acoustic instrumentation with full legal name, contact number & YouTube link to sjfanclub@gmail.com (no samples or electric instruments). Musicians must be age 18 or older. All genres are welcome. Submissions for Acoustic Soul Search will run from August 27th through September 28th. Each week one contestant will be selected by Syleena Johnson. On October 1st a total of 4 finalists will be announced on Syleena Johnson’s Facebook and Twitter pages Syleena Johnson (Official) and @Syleena_Johnson.
Polls will be open where fans will vote for their favorite contestant through October 8th at www.pollcode.com . Syleena Johnson will announce the winner on Facebook & Twitter after the season finale of R&B Divas 10/9c on October 8th. Good luck and let the soul searching begin.
