(April 1, 2022) Thirteen years ago the legendary group The Whispers fulfilled a longtime dream and recorded their first Gospel album. Thankful was a welcome return of The Whispers’ sound and a nice entry into a new genre for the act.

One of the songs on the album was a Gospel ballad that grew into a midtempo that the group said, took “praise to another level.” Now, more than a dozen years later, producer and mixmaster Maurice Joshua has taken that track, stripped it down, and turned it into an absolute steppers’ jam.

“Praise His Holy Name (Steppers Remix)” literally pops from the speakers, recapturing the familiar Whispers group harmonies and adding an urgency that, as the group would say, takes the song “to another level.”
