(July 13, 2017) Rolling Stone magazine has reported that an album containing nine previously unheard Michael Jackson songs will hit the auction block later this month. The auction house called Gotta Have Rock and Roll will be auctioning a number of MJ items, and one of them is a blank disc with “Bible” written on it and filled with 12 songs (three of which were previously released on the 2010 album, Michael).

The unreleased album bidding will start at $50,000, but is expected to go quite a bit higher. Interestingly, the auctioned CD, which ostensibly came from a friend of Michael, brings with it no rights to the underlying material on the album; it basically just gives the right to listen to that particular CD. The rights to the songs and to any future distribution of them still belong to the Jackson estate or Sony Music. That means whoever buys the music at the auction won’t be able to profit by releasing the songs and won’t be able to widely distribute it. But he or she will be able to throw a heckuva party…

Here is the track list from the unreleased album:

    1. "Monster"
    2. "Breaking News"
    3. "Stay"
    4. "Keep Your Head Up"
    5. "Everything’s Just Fine"
    6. "Black Widow"
    7. "Burn Tonight"
    8. "All I Need"
    9. "Water"
    10. "Let Me Fall in Love"
    11. "Ready to Win"
    12. "Soldier Boy"
