Those brothers refined the art fusing the good news of the gospel with arrangements that incorporated elements of R&B music. McReynolds’ combines his sweet tenor voice with his topflight talents as a songwriter, and now the two have come together on “Able,” a tune that appears on My Truth, McReynolds’ latest album.

“Able” begins Reynolds singing with only an acoustic guitar accompanying. He’s then joined by backing vocalists and an organ. The second verse features Winans power packed vocals paired with a classic R&B arrangement that grows as the two singers improvise and engage in call and response with the choir.
