She then caught our attention when she teamed with longtime SoulTracks fave, Brooklyn keyboardist Jesse Fischer, three years later on the EP, For Lovers and Believers. Brenda has a great sense of melody and a cool vibe that permeates her music, giving it a 70s jazz vibe while sounding completely current.

She then caught our attention when she teamed with longtime SoulTracks fave, Brooklyn keyboardist Jesse Fischer, three years later on the EP, For Lovers and Believers. Brenda has a great sense of melody and a cool vibe that permeates her music, giving it a 70s jazz vibe while sounding completely current.
Brenda is now returning with the full album Brand New Heart, and the first single is another collaboration that Fischer, co-written by Kenny Banks Jr., that alluringly straddles the line between soul and jazz. She tells us, "I wrote this song after coming out of a dark time and realizing that my life can be whatever I make it. We all have the power to change our lives. Its really a song to inspire people to look within themselves and be the person they want to be. I hope that when people listen to the song that they take a moment and re-imagine, pause, reflect, and feel good doing it."
