Zion Birdsong, a musically gifted Alliance, Ohio native, has been a young prodigy since birth. In his early years, he discovered a passion for art which later progressed into musical expression. He developed skills in percussion, piano, guitar, and choreography. He's influenced by great musicians such as: The Winans, Commissioned, DC Talk, Shirley Ceasar, Fred Hammond, Frank Sinatra, Jackie Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Donell Jones, Musiq Soulchild, The Neptunes, Timbaland, Whitney Houston, Jimmy “Jam” Harris & Terry Lewis, Quincy Jones, and many more. Seeing no limitations in what Birdsong could do, he acquired an ability to produce and engineer tasteful music. This led to his enjoyment in helping others do tasteful music as well.
In his teenage years, Birdsong began performing at local talent shows, high schools, “Hosea’s Feed the Hungry(ATL)”, various nightclubs, and many other functions throughout Atlanta, Georgia. Seeing his talent, he was invited to work alongside of DJ Nabs (In The Labs Productions) and Michael Mauldin (Mauldin Brand Agency) as a writer and producer.
Birdsong went through a long period of soul-searching and found love to be his niche. He found an undying compassion for the wellbeing of people, which deterred him from pursuing any specific genre of music. He quotes, “Love is the language life understands...with it there is no division.” With a mighty conviction, he established a self-contained musical library of tasteful tunes that he refers to as "EARCANDi Tasteful Music". These tunes later caught the attention of local listeners who strongly support EARCANDi. Birdsong is now taking the necessary steps on the path to becoming a Tasteful Music legend.
