(April 10, 2020) It has been two years since soul music diva Toni Braxton last graced us with new music, on 2018’s Sex & Cigarettes album and its two hits, “Deadwood” and the glorious “Long As I Live.” Now she is back with a new label (Island) and a new single that should connect with her longtime fans.

“Do It” is a forlorn ballad about a lover who is at the point in a relationship where she is ready to move on. And she simply tells her other to “Do what you need to do.”

Well, we’ve found over more than two decades that when Toni Braxton is singing sad, she’s usually doing something special. And “Do It” feels just right. Check it out below and welcome Toni Braxton back to SoulTracks.
