Hey SoulTrackers! As we approach the holiday season, we want to say "thanks" for being part of our family in 2009. The rough economy has made it a difficult year for a lot of our readers, but we always approach Christmas with new hope and a sense of unity.

Darien was one of the breakout artists of 2009. He was voted by SoulTracks readers as our New Artist of the Year, and he won us all over with his great debut album, If These Walls Could Talk. Boney James is a soul and jazz legend. He's a killer combination of smooth and funky. And what better person to team him up with than Anthony Hamilton, who handles the vocals on Boney's great version of "Silent Night," from the album Christmas Present.

Jody Watley is probably about the coolest person we know. She has done it all as a music, dance and video pioneer. But she also loves Christmas, as she shows on her recording of the classic "Christmas Time is Here." KeKe Wyatt is clearly one of the most talented singers of her generation. She became a star as a teenager, but has been too silent over the past few years. That silence will end in February with her upcoming album Who Knew?, but in the meantime we have a great holiday cut by her for your enjoyment, the beautiful "Peace On Earth."
