loutha - May 23rd, 2009
Thanks for including Rachelle Ferrell's album, "Individuality." It is a little amusing that out of all the nominees, hers was the only name that was misspelled. If you can spell Yahzarah, Ferrell should be a piece of cake, lol!
I agree with Princess Helene, Les Nubians was a big omission...
I am so happy to to that

I don't get it. I see
JazzyFunkyCool - July 13th, 2009
I don't get it. I see "Coming Soon The Best Songs of the 60s". That's a great idea to make a poll about songs but as we voted for the best albums from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, let's not forget to vote for the best 60's... albums too!
Michael Jackson - the best.
saranskmp3 - August 1st, 2009
Michael Jackson - the best. With his passing, the pop industry has lost its king. Many envied him, perhaps even killed because of greed, but his songs remain in our hearts. Talent, as he was not and will not be. His best songs in the best albome 80s Thriller you can listen for free, and then download it in a format mp3.
I know this is a soul music
nbrown32 - August 3rd, 2009
I know this is a soul music sight but there are progressive jazz artists' out there who deserve to be recognize for there accomplishments in music. Why don't you guys have a poll for the best progressive jass artists. Such people as Bob James, Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, and al Jarreau to name a few.
Hey brother don't be so
jazzhall101 - October 16th, 2009
Hey brother don't be so angry. I am a big Acid Jazz fan, I played all the time when I was on teh radio. You should have schooled them, and dropped some artists in your note. That's how we are going to "expand your minds".
Keep It Straight And Funky
I need to agree with a few
CrateDigger - December 14th, 2009
I need to agree with a few other posters here. I mean why skip the 60's in terms of top albums? For many that's when soul was at its peak. How could we talk about the greatest soul albums of all time and not mention the likes of Sam Cooke, Joe Tex, Lou Rawls, Smokey Robinson, Clarence Carter, Darrell Banks, Arthur Alexander, Jackie Wilson, etc.
I love your interest in Soul
Specialk - March 22nd, 2010
I love your interest in Soul Music Period ! But it goes without saying The (Dramatic Experience) Album...Hey You Get Off My Mountain - (GO FOR YOUR GUNS)with CLIMBIN UP THE LADDER by The ISLEY'S...DELFONICS with the classic TRYING TOO MAKE A FOOL OF ME. COMMODORES(HOT OFF THE TRACKS) with FANCY DANCER! SLY & THE FAMILY STONES, THERE'S A RIOT GOING ON...SWEET EXORCIST by CURTIS MAYFIELD...RUFUSIZED by RUFUS, you got an idea where I'm going! HONEY by the OHIO PLAYERS, with F0PP (Classics). Black artist sold a 100 million albums alone in the (70's) but it was the foundation or platform if you will, that made these exceptional pieces of work viable even today. I'll leave you now with, a few more (ABC) by The JACKSON'S, DELIVER THE WORD by WAR and MAGGOT BRAIN by FUNKADELIC.
