“I think of myself first and foremost as a songwriter. I love to tell stories through song and melody, simply using the guitar as a vehicle to convey those stories.” Those are the words of New Jersey-born singer-songwriter Live Hart. The multi-instrumentalist grew up as part of the Pop/R&B girl group Urbanesque and used that experience to inform her development as a songwriter and performer.

After recording and performing for the past several years, Live has finally released her debut album, the appropriately titled Honesty, recorded with producer Shaun Fisher (Mandy Moore, Gloria Estefan). We especially noticed the...well…honest song about a relationship going the wrong direction. “I’m Gone” is a tasty piece of accessible soul and a nice introduction to this talented artist. Says Live about the song: "I wrote I'm Gone after having a heated argument with someone I was dating. Our relationship had gotten to a point where an ultimatum had to be given. Writing this song was a way for me to get all my feeling out, instead of holding on to something I couldn't save."
