She’s been a background singer for Kirk Franklin. Although René has performed in front of thousands during her career, she rarely stepped out front and was content to work in the background.
That changed when God compelled Andrea René to step into the foreground with her gift to spread the gospel message. She obeyed and “Forgive Me,” a ballad calling on Christians to forgive as Christ forgives, is her musical offering.

“Forgive Me” is an intimate ballad, largely propelled by René’s voice and piano that stands as a reminder that forgiveness, even of those who might be considered enemies, is a divine mandate.
