Producer and songwriter Bey Bright was inspired by Quincy Jones and his albums that featured a plethora of stars and a great mixture of musical styles. So a couple of years ago, Bey began creating his own "producer's albums," and he scored big with Nu Indie Soul Vol 1 and Vol 2.
Bey is now coming back with another new album of tasty adult soul gems. The Sound of Indie Soul promises to bring the talented writer and producer more new fans, as well as introduce us to some fine singers who we didn’t know before now.
The first single from the new EP is a very nice midtempo featuring vocalist Carronne Jones. “Who Can Explain” tells the story of a woman who has finally found her “Mr. Right” after a number of bad relationships. Bey provides a cool SOS Band-style groove to the song, while Carronne introduces herself to us nicely.
