(January 17, 2020) Soul legend Charlie Wilson may not have gotten off to a great start with hot singer and songwriter Bruno Mars - the two ultimately settled a dispute about whether the Mars composition "Uptown Funk" borrowed too much from the old Gap Band hit "Oops Upside The Head" - but the two are getting along great now. So well, that they have toured together to sold out audiences. And now, Mars has written and co-produced a brand new song for Wilson, just in time for the most romantic of holidays.

"Forever Valentine" mines Wilson's recognizable voice and phrasing on a song that is a soul/pop gem. Wilson told Billboard magazine:  “Bruno is a firecracker; high energy like me on the stage,” he says with a laugh. “We talk about that all the time as we have a lot of admiration and respect for each other. It’s a beautiful thing when two people have that kind of connection. Nothing but great things can come of that.”

We think that this song will appeal to both Wilson's longtime fans and Mars's younger crowd, and we're glad to see these two uber-talents working together. Check out "Forever Valentine" below and tell us what you think!
