(December 19, 2023) British Eritrean singer/songwriter Danni Tesfay is turning up the heat during this chilly winter season. Thanks to a new track co-written by the singer along with progressive R&B sensation Kemi Ade, the emerging London-based musician arrives with the perfect snuggle anthem just in time for cuffing season.

Clocking in at just under the three minutes, “Believe in You” floats like a dreamy lush soundscape swaying with the finesse of Ariana Grande’s bedroom ditty “Positions.” Tesfay’s intoxicating coos move with such sultry adoration across the swooning acoustic guitar, ultimately driving home the euphoric ambition of intimate romance. It serves as the perfect follow-up to her summer track, “Hit the Road,” and proves she’s one of the rising stars to watch for on the award-winning Platoon platform.

She’s also in good company on the song with production handled by Grammy-nominated Likklejay (Chris Brown, Capella Grey) and engineering from Ramera Abraham (Adele, Little Mix).

Tesfay says about “Believe In You” : “The song conveys the message of providing someone who has been let down by love with the assurance that love can indeed be a haven of security. It’s an appeal to trust and let go, to surrender control, and to recognize that love can create a beautiful safe space if they allow themselves to embrace it. This emotional tug-of-war is a familiar struggle between head and heart, and it is something I can certainly relate to. The heart aches to be with someone, but the mind, tainted by past heartbreak, casts doubt on the possibility of love. It's a universal theme that often leads us to believe that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. However, in this track, I am asking you to explore the alternative perspective – what if it is true, and by fully immersing yourself in the experience or that person, something truly beautiful can emerge?”
