(May 25, 2022) Nigerian-born saxman Kenny Nightingale grew up inspired by the greatest R&B and jazz artists of the United States, from Michael Jackson to Charlie Parker. And he used that inspiration to grow into a top notch musician who has won over audiences on both the Gospel and Jazz charts over the years for such songs as “Coltrane to Montgomery” and his cover of Lionel Richie’s “Hello.”

Now Kenny returns with a new single that adds a strong dose of funk to his jazzy stylings. “My Saxophone” gives a powerful backdrop of guitar, horns and funk beats to the featured sax playing. Kenny tells us, “Writing ’My Saxophone,’ I was inspired by the very instrument it was named after. It is an uplifting, inspirational song that people can groove along and sing with me as I play.”
