The song finds Lynche embodying a man who tells his soon to be ex that they've reached the end of their relationship.
"End of the Line" has the sound and feel of a power ballad with its rock infused guitars and bombastic work on the drums. Lynche takes the song in a different direction with his stunning vocals, adding a strong helping of soul to this track -- he actually takes his listeners to church. A lesser singer would be buried under the avalanche of slashing rock infused guitars, pounding bass line, power packed drumming and wall of sound keyboard work. However, Lynche has the vocal range and assertiveness to take it higher when going all out is called for and the phrasing to pull back when vulnerability and finesse is in order.
