(July 28, 2023) Of all four seasons of the year, summer is one that many look forward to because of the activities that usually come with it like barbecues, trips to the beach, and good times with friends.
With that in mind, countless songs have been written about summer. One such track is fittingly titled "The Summer Song,” which we introduced you to in 2016. It was the debut single for MS1 Project, a duo of brothers from the UK comprised of Mike "DJ Blue" Harrison (radio personality, songwriter, producer, percussionist) & George “GEO” Harrison (bassist, keyboardist, songwriter, producer).
Now DJ Blue and GEO, who have released a lot of music since then, are back with an updated version of their debut track that they both produced, calling it “The Summer Song 2023.” The lyrics, written by DJ Blue, put you in the right mood for a summer getaway that leaves the cares away.

As the original did, the new version features GEO’s funky bass and the vocals of Texas native Demi “LaVoyce” Hairston, whose ‘voyce’ has similarities to Fantasia. The main difference in the 2023 version is that it has an “uptempo groove,” which we think you will be jamming to right away.
