SoulTrackers know that we've been fans of singer Nicole Henry for a few years, so when the songstress does something new, we take notice.

Well, Nicole is doing something very new. On Friday, July 24, 2015, she will release a duet project with guitarist/producer James Bryan called Summer Sessions EP on Banister Records.  Recorded live in The Chocolate Factory Studio in London with just voice and acoustic guitar, Summer Sessions captures the thrill and intimacy of the stripped-down setting. At times sultry and uplifting, the duo brings out the joy, longing and comfort in the stories of every track.

We’ve taken a shine to the song “Baby Can I Hold You.” It is a gentle ballad of sorrow and hopeful redemption that works just right.

Nicole tells us,  "Working as a duo encourages a different level of artistic freedom and interpretation- it's so raw and upfront, but still so very delicate.  I started my full-time singing career working in a duo format, so it's exciting to return to it and document that energy."

Well, we’re glad she did, and we’re happy to present “Baby Can I Hold You” as our newest SoulTracks First Listen. Check it out below and enjoy this beautiful collaboration!
