Public Announcement first came to the forefront in the 1990s and the backing group for R. Kelly, with whom they had a series of hits. After R. Kelly went solo, Public Announcement continued to nab a few more chart hits like “John Doe,” “Mamacita” and “Body Bumpin (Yippie-Yi-Yo).”

It’s been nearly a decade since we last heard a new Public Announcement record, but the group, now consisting of Feloney “Fel” Davis, Glenn Wright, Mar-K and Ace Watkins, is returning this Fall with a new album appropriately called Continuation, and a new single that captures a 90s-style slow groove.

Check out the brand new single, “Fireworks,” below and tell us what you think.
