(May 10, 2016) Regular SoulTrackers know that we think UK soul group Mama's Gun is one of the best things going. We had a special treat a few months ago when MG lead singer Andy Platts teamed on a side project with longtime pop music songwriter and producer Shawn Lee to create the new duo, Young Gun Silver Fox. We gave a "highly recommended" review to their terrific disc, West End Coast, and we've been listening to it ever since.
Andy and Shawn have just released a new single and video from the album. It is the tasty midtempo, "Emilia," and the accompanying video shows the kind of goofball humor we've come to expect from the talented Mr. Platts over the years. It's lots of fun.
