These were tough choices.

These were tough choices. Thanks to SoulTrackers for all for the nominations

Some of the choices were

Some of the choices were modern gospel and some were more traditional, so I found it hard choosing. But I went for the modern stuff, since that is what I like best. Go Deitrick Haddon!

The Winans were the most

The Winans were the most influential gospel group since 1970, so they have to be number 1

I am happy about the list of

I am happy about the list of albums as most of the ones that I nominated are in it! My all time favourite is Deitrick Haddon - Crossroads, so I will be upset if it is not in the top 3 minimum!!!

Thanks Chris and Soul Tracks for organising this poll and may God bless you all.

Mike

Several of my favourite

Several of my favourite albums are not listed...

Why is there no option to add my own choice????

Best, Kees

Good choice of albums for

Good choice of albums for 2000 but omitted were albums by Noel Gourdin ( After My Time ) and John Forte ( i, John ) two underrated albums who's fine music is underappreciated mainly because they weren't played very much on the radio station.

For Gospel Albums, shame on y'all for not includng Lorraine Ellison - Lorraine Ellison
Della Reece and Brilliance - Della Reece and Brilliance
Ethel Waters - Just A Little Talk With Ethel

three of the finest gospel albums I've ever had the pleasure of listening to and owning.

Indeed not easy to pick from

Indeed not easy to pick from these excellent men and women

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!! WHAT

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!

WHAT HAPPENED TO ADORATION N PRAYZE - TIME IS RUNNING OUT ....ONE OF THE BEST!!!! AND ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER CD'S EVER RECORDED, JUST PULL THE NAME UP O YOUR SEARCH ENGINE AND YOU'LL SEE FOR YOURSELF...HOW DID THIS NOT MAKE THE LIST!!!!

ALSO...COMMISSIONED - IRREPLACEABLE LOVE...

JOHN P. KEE - NOT GUILTY

3 ALBUMS THAT SHOULD HAVE VERY EASILY MADE THIS LIST!!!!

The correct name of Keith

The correct name of Keith Pringle's project is "Perfect Peace." Thank you for placing it on the list.

When I think of the greatest

When I think of the greatest gospel projects of all time, Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers comes to mind along with Kurt Carr and The Kurt Carr singers (the CD with For Every Mountain). These are projects where every track is true ministry. I think I may be a bit older than some of the people who suggested some of the projects listed. The only contemporary artits whose music will be ministry 20 years from now are Donald Lawrence, Yolanda Adams and Richard Smallwood!!!

some good picks but very

some good picks but very disappointed in the albums that were snubbed and the order

I am just happy to see my

I am just happy to see my "homies" take the top that is all things Detroit! It is wonderful to see a list such as this and remains me of the music that should be in my music library.

Thanks for this and be sure to do this again!

"Women are Soldiers & Veterans, too!"

Wow! I cannot believe Rev

Wow! I cannot believe Rev James Cleveand is not on this list. Did I miss him?
The Rev. IS the King of REAL Gospel. While I like some of the new gosel music there are real pioneers of this music form that actually recorded their music in CHURCH. What a concept

I'm just discovering this

I'm just discovering this site and I appreciate all the effort up front. BUT, I can't believe some of the omissions here. 100 albums listed and nothing by Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers or Mahalia Jackson? Really?!?

I now notice that the list

I now notice that the list is from 1970, but I really feel like The Soul Stirrers deliver the most dynamic gospel performances I've ever heard and I can't imagine even starting a list like this without considering those guys first. Carry on :-)

I've always said the

I've always said the Aretha's Amazing Grace is the best gospel recording on the planet..HANDS DOWN!!!
