(October 19, 2017) The way we can listen to music has changed so much over the past few years, that it is sometimes tough to keep up with all the choices. So last week we polled SoulTrackers about your listening habits and we found some very interesting answers.

First, while just a few years ago SoulTrackers told us they relied almost exclusively on broadcast radio and CDs as their preferred method of music delivery, they now embrace lots and lots of ways. YouTube has become a big factor in their listening, with almost 60% of SoulTrackers saying they use it regularly. And sneaking up are streaming services like Pandora and Spotify, which wouldn't have even registered just a short while ago (poor Tidal is still kind of an afterthought for our readers). And don't forget internet radio, which has become a staple for lovers of adult soul, playing terrific independent music that is often ignored on the FM dial.

But the big winner is still CDs, with nearly three in four SoulTrackers saying that they still use them regularly. And the vinyl rebirth is clearly a thing with soul music fans, with 30% of SoulTrackers still putting their needles down on the grooves.

What this poll really showed is that SoulTrackers are like everyone else: awash with choices to hear music. But it also shows that you are still actively buying the music of the artists you love, which adult soul artists will no doubt be glad to hear.

Thanks for helping us out with this poll!
