(August 30, 2017) Talented “Southern Hummingbird” singer Tweet is currently hospitalized, suffering from blood clots in her lungs and her right arm, it was revealed on Instagram today.
The 46 year old singer and multi-instrumentalist, born as Charlene Keys in Rochester, New York, was last heard from on record with her fine 2016 album, Charlene.
Tweet first made national attention singing background on Missy Elliott’s 1999 album, Miss E…So Addictive. Three years later, she released her first single, “Oops (Oh My),” a smash hit which anticipated an even bigger debut album, Southern Hummingbird. Despite her success as a solo artist, Tweet doubled down on background and guest vocal work for seemingly every major R&B star of the time.
