(October 20, 2023) London-based singer and songwriter Lily Head is clearly a star on the rise. There is a lot of buzz about her as she prepares for the release of her debut album, Cherry On The Cake, due tomorrow.
Working with Anderson.Paak's team, Head delivers a album that highlights both her deep, expressive vocals, and her perceptive lyrics about modern life and love. She says, "I created this EP after understanding that there was a gap between how this generation feels and how we communicate… Everything is accessible, so we often fail to pay attention to anything anymore. I decided to create an EP around these themes, delving into the stories I've lived, heard, and witnessed. 'Table for Two' is the part where I explore and attempt to understand how it all works while still searching for something authentic."

That authenticity comes through in the second single from the album, the downbeat gem "Table For Two." The song tells the modern yet timeless story of a young person who is both looking for love and experiencing the doubts about her ability to do so given the environment around her. The song has an infectious groove, and her Head's vocals are on point.
