(September 1, 2023) We're not sure if there is a cooler artist out there than singer and bassist Nik West. Her keen sense of style along with her funky musicianship have made her a tier one favorite for SoulTrackers around the world. And our recent feature of her collab with legendary bassist Larry Graham on the rollicking "Thumpelenah" won over even more fans.
Nik is readying her new album Moody, and the sounds coming out of the studio are super hot. And if you still aren't familiar with her music, a great entry is the upcoming single "Boom Baby Boom." A slice of horn-filled 60s soul and classic funk brought forward, all accented by a steady beat and Nik's bright vocals, it is one of the most immediately infectious songs we've heard in 2023 and is a great introduction to the fun that is Moody.
