    Andraé Van Buren (aka "Nookie Coltrane") has made playing the saxophone and music production a work of art by combining the staple sounds of his hometown Memphis, TN and his vast musical knowledge into beautiful canvases like only a true artist can.

    Having a lifelong devotion to music, he has been performing professionally for the last 12 years. Breaking onto the music scene in Memphis as the part time saxophonist for Memphis band Straight up Buzz, he started building a buzz for himself in the Industry.  Andraé worked with artists such as Wendy Moten, Stephanie Bolton, Ruby Wilson, A440, Native Son, Carmen and Grammy Showcase winner Will Graves, as well as performing with several others on the world renowned Beale St.

    After moving to Austin, TX in 1999, Andraé became a featured saxophonist for the R&B/Jazz group Tunji and the hip hop crew Hip-Hop Humpday (H3). In 2001, he started recording with his right hand man Dwayne "Dmadness" Jackson to record his first studio album Equinox, which included his first producer credits on a song entitled "Take One".

    In 2005, he began working with San Antonio based Mojoe, who was signed to Musicworld Entertainment and toured with Sunshine Anderson all over the Midwest and West Coast. Since that time he has worked in the studio with Symbolic One of Strange Fruit Project, Mojoe, and the Dmadness Project.

    His influences include Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Anita Baker, Sade, Michael Breaker, Pete Rock, JDilla, Quincy Jones, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield, Heatwave, John Williams, Nancy Wilson, Nicolay, Fazo, Rick James, Teddy Pendergrass, Cameo, Vince Guaraldi, Chaka Khan, John P Kee, Mint Condition, Take 6, Daryl Hall and the John Oats, Huey Lewis, the Headhunters, the Crusaders, Jaco P, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, the Time, and so many more...
