Bryan Loren

Bryan Loren

In a varied career, Bryan Loren (born Bryan Loren Hudson) is a musical prodigy whose star has shown as a songwriter, musician and singer, often in bands or in support of other artists.

A multi-instrumentalist, Loren was a world-class percussionist as a young man, and appeared on albums of some of the biggest stars of the 80s, including Michael Jackson, Tavares and Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes.

In the early-80s, Loren joined the emerging ensemble Fat Larry’s Band as a keyboardist. He was also part of the briefly popular Cashmere, which scored with Michael Jackson-influenced “Let The Music Turn You On.”

By the middle of the decade, Loren was a solo artist, issuing a series of moderately successful singles like “Lollipop Luv” and “Do You Really Love Me” on the Philly World label. He moved to Arista and charted again with “To Satisfy You,” a song that didn’t make the cut on Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album but for which Jackson provided backing vocals.

In the 90s, Loren continued his long collaboration with Jackson, while also providing songs for Eric Benet, Whitney Houston and others.
