If there is one child of the seventies to be found these days, it is Eddie Sea .  On his debut Moon City , the Chicago-based producer/songwriter transported the listener to a decade when music was free of auto tunes and filled with pure joy.  And why mess with precious memories?  Sea's follow-up disc, Starz, features more original material that drips with a sensual vibe of soul, funk and Latin that gave seventies urban music its silky smooth touch.

The shining star on Starz is another Chicago talent - Shauntia Toussaint - who packs a vocal punch and conveys vulnerability.  "Living in A World of Fantasy" recalls Chaka Khan riveting vocals.  Toussaint and Taj Salon present a pleasing duet on "Superstar" as Toussaint captures the essence of Minnie Ripperton.  Anchored by a funky cello section, "Eyes of Pain" reveals shades of Phyllis Hyman.  Even though Starz starts losing its seventies' luster on the final two tracks, Sea does a commendable job reliving those childhood memories.
