There was a time when I was hearing a lot of people in my life having communication challenges with the people in their lives and I then asked myself - “Why is it so challenging to communicate with someone you love without there being a major event attached to it?” I decided that I wanted to write a song about it and that’s when “How Do I Talk To You?” was created.
Let’s face it, we all know someone who’s hurting and sometimes we feel that we have the answers for them by desperately trying to steer them in an alternate directions. Emotions can be intense and words may come out in ways that you're not thinking about at the moment, until they are said. So “how do we talk to each other”? I believe with some love and a whole lot of patience and understanding…Sometimes it’s not always about WHAT you say, but HOW you say it!
