(October 9, 2017) We’ve been writing about Vinx since the early days of SoulTracks, calling him early on a “21st century Renaissance Man,” a former athlete who went on to become a well known percussionist and vocalist – both with his own music and working with other artists like Sting.
More recently Vinx has formed a loose band of world class musicians (Reggie Washington, Alfio Origlio, Patrick Dorcean, Lee Payne, and ALEM) called The Groove Heroes, and this week they released an album of groovalicious tunes, like our latest First Listen. “Tomorrow Is Another Day” has Vinx’s distinctive voice wrapping around a track with a sly groove, bordering between R&B and jazz, and filling all the spots nicely. It is a very nice re-working of a song from his Big and Round album.
