(March 1, 2023)  In just a matter of days, winter will melt into spring, days will lengthen and the world will bloom anew. Few things are fresher than the possibilities of a deeper love, and Ben L'Oncle's recognition of the beauty of his intended in the airy, acoustics-driven midtempo, "A Rose."

Don't let his youthful cadence fool you: a graduate of Tour Indre-et-Loire's School of Fine Arts, Oncle has channeled his Fitiavana Gospel Choir experience into a pair of Motown releases (Universal Music France): 2009's Soul Wash: Lesson 1 and 2010's Ben L’Oncle Soul, which peaked at position 5 on the French Album Chart. Ben's award-winning sound has generated multi-platinum sales and over a hundred million streams in his native France, and it is only a matter of time before his cool, conversational tenor, on rich display throughout his newest offering, Is It You?, drips into your playlist. After all, sophistication and subtlety, like the aforementioned "Rose" and a warm spring day, can serve as persuasive aphrodisiacs...... if you allow them to be.
