Buddy Williams is without a doubt one of the world's great drummers. It is tough to name an important soul or jazz artist who hasn't worked with him over the years, and his work as part of the Saturday Night Live band brought him into our households for a dozen years.
Buddy collaborated with musician and songwriter Aziza Miller and, when they recorded her composition, they brought along one of our all-time favorite singers, Will Downing.
“La Costa” begins with the sound of the ocean and leads into a light tune that touches on soul and jazz and sounds just perfect for an evening with a loved one. It’ll make you want to head to the beach to watch the sun set over the water.
