Having already won us over last year with the stunning single, “Make A Way,” it’s exciting to hear new colors and directions exhibited on this sinewy duet with one of the raspiest seducers in the game. Opening with David’s instantly emotional voice punctuating each closing vowel with yearning, “Charge” is instantly super charged with passion. Carmen enters with a coy softness that sweetly contrasts with David’s aggressiveness. There is enough ying and yang waltzing together in this very emotionally nude love song that one might next ask when’s the wedding or at the very least the duet album between these two independent music superstars operating at the very top of their game.
Until such fantastical wishful fulfillment is realized, Rodgers is primed to delight audiences with her most artistically complete project to-date with Stargazer dropping on February 17, 2015. In the meantime, luxuriate in the torrid waters of David and Rodgers over this lovers’ holiday.
