However, music called him, and he has written and produced more than 100 songs, bravely overcoming brachial plexus palsy, a birth defect that affects the nerves that control the muscles of the arm.
Crain has won over many fans in the Midwestern US, and with his newest song, he will likely expand his reach to the rest of the world.

“Madam Queen” is jazzy soul midtempo on which Chris expresses his love and respect for a special woman. He tells us, “’Madam Queen’ was written about a beautiful strong black woman that makes my world turn. However, she’s not limited to just the likes of a Black woman. Madam Queen is any woman that takes on the pressures of the world, holds her family down and still manages to consistently stay strong and beautiful. The unequaled melodic experience in this song is saturated with love and passion, and a union of rhythm and lyrics will do something special to the mood of its listeners."
On his live version of the song, recorded at Charlie’s Music Factory in Milwaukee, he wraps his Bobby Womack-like vocals around the infectious tune with the understated bandwork behind him. This has the feel of a song we’ll be listening to for awhile – a melody and a message worth celebrating.
