(June 14, 2020) After years of gigging as a piano man for jazz bands in both the UK and US while also working in the medical field, French producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Cloudnine (stylized CLOUDNiNE) is stepping out on his own. With original music! And yes, his latest musical offering is pretty “essential.”

Inside the alt-R&B universe of “I Know” is a cascade of dreamy synths and sleek melodies wrapped around bluesy guitar riffs. And CLOUDNiNE puts the icing on the euphoric cake, by squeezing out emotive aches inside lyrical heartbreak (“Didn’t want to feel…trapped anymore…I would have been a ghost if I stayed any longer”). The lofty mood amplifies every time we hear the breezy chants of “I know that this ain’t what you wanted” on the chorus.
