Corinne Bailey Rae returns with a bouncy duet

(November 24, 2021) We’re all in whenever there is new music from Corinne Bailey Rae, so we’re happy to hear her teaming with Miles Kane on his bouncy new single ‘Nothing’s Ever Gonna Be Good Enough’. The track is a preview from his upcoming new album Change The Show

As infectious as it is frenetic, the duet has a definite retro feel, a mix of 80s British rock and 60s R&B. Miles says the song is “All about that feeling of giving everything you've got to something/someone, but feeling like you're never quite getting the same energy back. And how sometimes the harder you try and reach for it, the further away it becomes.”

The duet was Corinne’s idea after the two artists had been sending each other music back and forth during the pandemic. It was recorded remotely, but fortunately the duet came together for the Lisa Clarkson-directed music video, which is a fun, nostalgic bop.
