(October 29, 2020) In a way Gregory “Gregory D” DeMyers’ praise and worship jam “My Time” has been eight years in the making. Gregory D was in the church in Lansing, MI of his musician parents, and he soon displayed musical and spiritual gifts. Gregory D. honed his skills as a multi-instrumentalist and was writing by the time he was 17.  Soon, he was writing songs for the church choir in his role as director. Gregory D. was a part of a gospel rap group, as well.

His emergence into what would become his own gospel group would not begin until his mother passed away in May 2012. It was then that Gregory D. answered a spiritual call to step out and start the group that would eventually be known as Gregory D and Company. Gregory D. and Company rolled out singles slowly – “He’s Good” in 2014 and “More Than a Conqueror” in 2016 - before dropping the EP The Worship Trio in 2017. Their first full-length album, It’s My Time came out in 2018. The group is releasing the title track as a single this year.

The song’s message is one that is ideal for what is going on in 2020. “My Time” is an upbeat, positive brassy number that stands out in these downbeat times. The good news of the Gospel has always been about preaching hope at a time when it appears that all hope is lost, and there can be no better time to hear a song like “My Time” than right now.
