First Listen: Howard Johnson is back and "Funkin" it up

(Janaury 8, 2018) 80s R&B fans definitely remember Howard Johnson, who rocked us with the big hit "So Fine" and many others. For the past several years Howard has been working as an independent producer, musical director, mentor and vocal therapist for several R&B artists, and helping new talent find their voice and way into the business as a promoter. He also issued the impressive album Black Casanova a few years ago.

Well, Howard is back with a new single that recalls the electronic funk of some of his biggest hits. “Funkin’ On The Floor” sounds like Kashif meets Bootsy and should give fans of that genre a big smile. He tells us about the song, "I did a show up in San Francisco and met K-Maxx and he loved my music and groove, so I asked him what he had as far as music and he said of course. The rest is history." We're definitely glad that that meeting happened!
