(June 30, 2020) Cedric Norah aka I,Ced is a St Louis based singer/songwriter who has been building his career over the last decade. He is able to successfully navigate between a contributor to projects by artists such as Dam Funk and Thundercat, and releasing albums of his own material. After a four year hiatus, I,Ced returns with his new single, "Call Me Up," from his fourth solo album, Interpretations.
Rooted and grounded in synths and percussion, "Call Me Up" is a mid-tempo groove that speaks of a man clearly displaying his intentions with the woman he's interested in. He's a "man that's made for love" and is waiting on that call that can potentially ignite a relationship. This song is one that could have fit just as easily in 1985 as it does in 2020, as its retro vibe and harmonies mesh well with some of the recent trends of soul music.
