First Listen: Javon Inman spreads the gospel of love on new duet

(January 31, 2018) The month of love is upon us and Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching. So, if you’re looking for a sweet and tender escape, gospel singer Javon Inman has the perfect answer. The Canton, Ohio-born singer-songwriter makes inroads to crossover R&B with “I Still Love You,” a fluttery neo-soul track trapped in a wall of Chicago step, charming instrumentation and sleek romance. Inspired by his marriage of sixteen years, this midtempo gem takes on the hardships of love with a sprinkle of humor and honesty. “You get on my nerves, but I still love you,” Inman sings in the first moments of the song. “Our mates will drive us crazy at times, but when our covenant is with the one God created us to do life with, it’s a bit easier to walk through the difficult seasons,” he mentioned in a recent press release.
