(June 28, 2020) JazzyD has cemented a special place within our SoulTracks family - delivering a special brand of R&B quiet storm gems with pinches of house music and contemporary jazz.  His choices of collaborators and his regular go-to band help accentuate his soulful musical canvases. The U.K. native and Perth, Australia based producer and arranger also known as Daron Elliott has been extremely busy these days with a series of new singles in 2020 such as “Remember Me” and “Song Like Ours.”

In the latest edition of First Listen, JazzyD calls on Amber Sweeney and Stevie L in a compelling vocal bouquet entitled “Fight No More.”  On this retro R&B ballad, the two vocalists deliver crisp lead and harmonies from note one in a tension filled tale to claim back a romantic relationship in conflict. A storyteller at heart, JazzyD summates the intent behind “Fight No More”: “I realized in order to get the narrative across in the track in a subtle way, I would need a duet to be able to tell both sides of the story”. The ambient orchestrations are painted brilliantly by pianist/composer Marco Gnoatto, Pablo Argat and Ezequiel Rivas.  Once again, JazzyD’s keen musical ingredients allow “Fight No More” to connect with listeners.  Enjoy!
