(July 30, 2023) Jimmy “Bo” Horne’s mission has always been to be a musical man of action. He makes the kind of music that makes people move. That music can be described as funk, disco, dance, EDM or by any other name, if the crowd is not moving then Jimmy “Bo” Horne will feel he didn’t do his job.

A song that put lush disco instrumentation over a slamming funk bassline was a sure way to get people dancing in the late 1970s and Bo Horne had tunes like “You Get Me Hot” and “Gimme Some” that could crowd the dance floor. These days, Bo Horne wants his music to get people moving and mobilized, and his new song, “Starting Tonight” accomplishes both missions.

“Starting Tonight” deploys an insistent and propulsive EDM arrangement to get heads nodding and feet tapping along with a message that will move people to action when the party is over. The song’s lyrics, which were written by Bo Horne and producer Keith Lowry, are an upbeat call to immediate action.
