(December 19, 2017) Detroit-born singer and actress Terry Dexter had a moment in the sun in the late 90s when she hit the charts with “Better Than Me” as a teenager. But the talented vocalist never really hit the heights that her talent deserved.

Another teenage artist, Johnny Manuel, also signed with a label, but didn’t get his chance to shine until his appearance on NBC’s The Voice, where he wowed the judges with a stunning version of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”

Now the two great singers have joined forces on a fairly traditional R&B ballad – with even a bit of a country flavor to it. “I Remember” doesn’t knock your socks off with bombast, but it is a solid vehicle that shows why we love both of these artists, both separately and now together.
