(September 10, 2022) Lenny Williams has been making great music for over four decades now and, at age 77, shows no sign of slowing down. We first heard him back in the day as the lead singer for Tower of Power, but that was just the beginning, as he put together a career's worth of hits, including the now classic "Cause I Love You."

Lenny's had a career resurgence over the past few years, with a great biographical episode of TV One's Unsung, and a string of adult soul releases. And for his newest single, Lenny delivers a bluesy gem about a man who has “worked hard all week long” and is looking forward to having a fun night with his lady at the club.

The cut is a straight up southern soul number, and Williams sounds great, a half century after he first became a soul music favorite. Check out “Weekday Blues,” and welcome Lenny Williams back to SoulTracks.
